Egypt's interim government orders end to pro-Morsi sit-ins

Egypt's military-backed cabinet has ordered police to end sit-ins by Muslim Brotherhood supporters in Cairo.

"The cabinet has decided to take all measures necessary to confront these risks and put an end to them," the cabinet said in a televised statement.

Brotherhood supporters have staged protests in Cairo for several weeks, protesting against the ousting of Islamist President Mohammed Morsi on 3 July.
