Phương pháp làm phần Nghe TOEIC - Part 4

 Part 4 trong TOEIC là phần gây khó khăn nhất đối với các bạn thí sinh bởi bài nghe khá dài, từ vựng khá khó. Để giải quyết tốt phần này các bạn nên nắm được các phương pháp hữu ích sau đây.

1.Nắm vững câu hỏi để có thể tìm ra nhiều manh mối trong bài nói.

Đây là dạng câu hỏi mà manh mối cho đáp ắn đúng xuất hiện nhiều lần trong bài nói.
Hãy làm quen vói những câu hỏi duới đây.

What’s being described?
What’s the purpose of this announcement?
Who is probably speaking?
What’s the speaker’s occupation?
To whom is the talk addressed?
Where was this announcement made?

2.    Nhận dạng loại câu hỏi chỉ có một manh mối

Đây là dạng câu hỏi mà cụm từ chứa manh mối cho đáp án đúng chỉ xuất hiện đúng một lần trong bài nói.
Do đó, nếu gặp các câu hỏi loại này thì bạn phải chú ý nghe câu có nội dung trả lòi cho câu hỏi. Loại câu hỏi này đòi hỏi bạn phải có khả năng nghe tốt.

How many stops will the bus make?
What time does the gift shop close?
When has the appointment been rescheduled?

3.  Hãy giải quyểt câu hỏi theo thứ tự sau đây.

Khi trả lời các câu hỏi ở Part 4, đa số thí sinh đều cảm thấy bị quá tải. Họ phải đọc đề bài bằng mắt, dùng tai để nghe, đồng thời dùng tay để đánh dấu câu trả lời. Vì phải thực hiện cùng một lúc nhiều hoạt động nhu vậy nên nhiều thí sinh không thể đọc kịp ba câu hỏi cho một bài. Chia khóa giúp bạn có thể phát huy hết năng lực của mình chính là giảm bớt sự quá tải này. Vì các câu hỏi trong Part 4 gồm có câu hỏi thông tin chi tiết và câu hỏi tổng quát nên bạn có thể áp dụng các phương pháp dưới đây:
1)    Vừa đọc câu hỏi, vừa dự đoán nội dung sẽ nghe.
2)    Mặc dù bạn phải chú ý nghe câu hỏi về chi tiết của bài nói, nhưng bạn chỉ cần ghi nhớ chính xác trọng tâm câu hỏi (ví dụ: ai, ở đâu, khi nào, V.V.). Bạn không cần dọc phần đáp án cho sẵn. Việc nhớ  được trọng tâm của câu hỏi quan trọng hơn.
3)    Trong lúc nghe, bạn cần chú ý nghe manh mối cho câu hỏi chi tiết đó.
4)    Khi vừa nghe được manh mối thì ngay lập tức đánh dấu vào câu lựa chọn trên đề thi.
5)    Nếu chưa trả lời được câu hỏi tổng quát, bạn vẫn có thể tìm ra đáp án sau khi nghe xong, vì trong lúc nghe manh mối cho các câu hỏi chi tiết, tự nhiên bạn sẽ nắm được nội dung tổng quát.
Vì manh mối cho câu hỏi tổng quát được lặp lại nhiều lần trong bài nói nên tỷ lệ tìm ra đáp án đúng là rất cao. Điều quan trọng là nếu trong khi nghe, bạn đã tìm được đáp án của câu hỏi tổng quát thì không nên vội đánh dấu mà hãy tiếp tục chú ý nghe các manh mối cho các câu hỏi chi tiết, vì có thể trong lúc đánh dấu đáp án đúng cho câu hỏi bạn sẽ bỏ qua các manh mối này. ớ Part 4, bạn cần phải ghi nhớ thông tin trong lúc nghe bài nói thì mới có thể nâng cao tỷ lệ đáp án đúng của ba câu hỏi trong từng bài. Không nên tập trung quá nhiều vào câu hỏi tổng quát mà hãy chú ý nghe thông tin liên quan đến câu hỏi chi tiết.

his is Betty Bellarussa with your 5 p.m. WARP-AM traffic report. Well, if you're on the roads listening to this, you already know that traffic is pretty much a mess everywhere. On Interstate 7, it crawls from downtown to the county line. Vehicles crossing the lake on State Route 50 are gridlocked both eastbound and westbound, and the valley freeway is stop-and-go from Mayberry through Winwood. Highway 17 is slow through the city, then clears out until Overpass Road. If that weren't bad enough, an injury accident is blocking Main Street downtown, causing a 15-minute backup for cars waiting to get onto the freeway. This has been Betty Bellarussa with your 5 p.m. WARP-AM traffic update. Our next traffic report will be at the bottom of the hour.
